Portfolio Analysis

The quality is good at the beginning but then it gets worse as the video goes on. This photographer seems lazy

good angles and good contrast
I was confused on what the story was about. I think it could have been more put together.

he was too close to his subjects and a lot of them don't really tell a story.

There was no story behind it which made it confusing. Good quality photos but the theme was all over the place.


Winning Portfolio
a. What did the judges note as strengths as they were critiquing it?

photographer captured subjects' emotions, captured pictures at lower angles, creative storyline.
b. What do you see as strengths? Do you see any weaknesses?

The photographer had very clear pictures. He had interesting angles. Some things look staged, I would think of that as a weakness.

Contest Recap

a. Briefly describe the process the judges went through in deciding the winner.

They look to see what story it tells and they see if it repeats. They throw out the interesting pictures to see if there is any bad ones.
