Landscape Preview

1. Where is one place on the internet you might go to better prepare yourself for the location you are shooting at?
You could check places like google maps, and you cold look at the weather to make sure it won't interfere with your
photos.

2. What is one app you might download to help you when trying to pick the best angle to take landscape photos?
Use the app Photographers Ephemeris

3. What is the biggest problem shooting with a zoom or telephoto lens?
You don't get the full effect of the landscape. One of the only times you should use a large lens is when you are taking
a panoramic photo
4. Instead of using the HDR method you learned in my class, what is another technique the website suggest would be acceptable for compensating for sky and ground?
Use the ND grad filter for landscape photos.

5. List three things you should always carry in case of bad weather.
Cleaning clothes (for the lens)
Waterproof plastic bag
Microfiber towel for camera

6. Why would pre-scouting help you when shooting?
You can see all of the potential viewpoints and choose the best one for your desired picture.

7. Is subject or composition more important in landscape photography?
Composition is more important.

8. What is the suggested procedure to create simple, yet striking images?
Decide the main focus, add other aspects that won't distract from the main focus.

9. Why black and white?
If the weather is bad or the color of the sky isn't what you want it to be.

10. Why would you want to go back to a location you have already been?
You might be able to see something you didn't see the first time, and you won't waste time finding a new place
and viewpoint.
